Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: Champlain Pkwy, MacKenzie-King Rd , Glide Wax: Swix Violet, Grip Wax:

Perfect conditions!! A wonderful surprise! More than worth the cost of a day pass, if you don't have a season's pass. The conditions were comparable to Silver Star or Mont Ste-Anne.

I delayed skiing while waiting for the park website to show some grooming activity and finally opted to skate, expecting a big mess from the weekend. I even phoned the office - they knew nothing about any grooming - and went there in person to ask again just before skiing - still nothing. Now, at 3:00, the web site still looks much the same as it did all weekend. All this to say, JUST GO AND SKI - there is obviously some great grooming going on, but it is not showing up on the site. It was so good, I'm thinking of going out for a second ski!
