Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: Fortune Pkwy, #1, #1 (green) (#2 - #24), Glide Wax: blue, Grip Wax: VR 40

Beautiful snow! Ridge west of Fortune had (more or less) classic tracks to Huron, a nicely compacted skate lane to Western and after that an older, compacted lane with soft new snow on top. No rocks or obstacles, great coverage. We enjoyed classic today, but the skating looked very tempting. The area between Fortune and Huron was especially beautiful, with heavily snow-laden trees and bushes.

The other side of Ridge was good, at least as far as I went. More uniform grooming, complete coverage.

Note: The Fortune Parkway classic tracks are very thin and crooked, not the standard issue. It makes you feel a bit like a pinball as you descend the last hill!
