#40 was quite messy up to the junction with #2, then had bare patches in the usual spots. Once up to #24 there were fewer "portages" and gaps to walk. I only had time to get to the Wolf Trail Bench, but beyond looked enticing. It was over 90% skiing. Thursday and Friday should both offer good skiing potential to the Fire Tower for those who don't mind a bit of walking mixed in. As the tongue of snow gets thinner, classic technique has an advantage over skating.

Gatineau Park is ski paradise! The network of ski trails offer machine groomed skate skiing and classic skiing as well as little groomed backcountry trails. Multiple access points allow skiers to access a variety of terrain and scenery.
The NCC offers season or daily pay rates.
