Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: Fortune Pkwy, Champlain Pkwy, Champlain Pkwy, Glide Wax: Vauhti Blue, Grip Wax: Guess: Universal Klister

Everything that mother nature has in her rucksack she decided to take out and do some sprinkling with. Between 9 AM and lunch time we saw snow, ice pellets, and freezing rain. We also witnessed some stong and gusty wind. If you head out, dress for it all!

You will find that some grooming has been done between P10 and Champlain, including new classic tracks. Nothing towards Mica or Black Lake yet, but the skiing is still o.k. in that direction. It is probably reasonable to use good skis on the parkways in that area now, but for sure keep you eyes open for the odd thin spot. This mess of precipitation has actually helped the conditions considerably.
