Skating was the preferred technique today. In some places, it almost looked like it had been groomed, but your poles would be hitting the pavement to bring you back to reality. A few bare patches on the road in the south facing sections but overall a good ski. Hopefully there will be more snow tomorrow to add to this base!
Gatineau Park is ski paradise! The network of ski trails offer machine groomed skate skiing and classic skiing as well as little groomed backcountry trails. Multiple access points allow skiers to access a variety of terrain and scenery.
