Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: #6, Glide Wax: , Grip Wax: purple

The slushy conditions in Ottawa were replaced by more and more white stuff as we drove up to Kingsmere this afternoon. I'm sure there is almost a foot of wet snow along the high sections. We gullumped along Skyline. First tried red wax but it was awful, no grip at all. Purple was okay if you can live with clumping clods of snow under your feet as you climb, that you can kick off to descent. Heavy snow made control difficult but falls were soft. Density of snow meant that other people's falls left slightly hazardous sitzmarks. Very beautiful and a little foggy by 4pm.
