Gatineau Park

Skate skied back and forth on the Doldrums. This was possibly the first time I have ever done that. I was pleasantly surprised: the fresh grooming was just enough to scrape the top and soften it up. I thought it was quite good, though I would not want to fall--it would be a pretty solid thunk. Classic tracks were not very deep, but they were super fast. As the day warms up, I am sure it would only get better. Trail 36 from p9 to p10 was not groomed is not really skiable (which explains the back and forth).
Gatineau Park is ski paradise! The network of ski trails offer machine groomed skate skiing and classic skiing as well as little groomed backcountry trails. Multiple access points allow skiers to access a variety of terrain and scenery.
The NCC offers season or daily pay rates.
