Skated from Gamelin to Notch Road. It has been recently trackset - conditions are excellent for both skate and classic - the tracks looked quite firm. Soft warm powder which was surprising fast for 0 C snow. Did not see any one having kick problems in the tracks. Took a few short detours on #15, #5, & #29 - they’ve still got a skier-tracked surface from the snow yesterday - #29 looked quite rough but good enough for commuting. With the wind and the drop in temperature there was some glazing of the powder on the way back.
Gatineau Park is ski paradise! The network of ski trails offer machine groomed skate skiing and classic skiing as well as little groomed backcountry trails. Multiple access points allow skiers to access a variety of terrain and scenery.
The NCC offers season or daily pay rates.
