Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: #53, Glide Wax: , Grip Wax: Vaughti carrot

Just a relaxing classic ski on trail 53. Fabulous weather and the 5 day old tracks are still holding. They were very hard, very fast (sometimes faster than I liked!). There was one bad icy spot to watch out for, but otherwise it was just just hard-packed, tired-out snow. The debris was a problem, however, in many areas and made my wax job totally irrelevant and almost sent me flying a few times! I had to stop halfway, scrape off the forest floor and start over . Otherwise, good skiing, considering the little snow we have had.

The photo at www.musicianonskis.ca shows a nice clean area of track.
