Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: Gatineau Pkwy , Fortune Pkwy, North Loop, Gatineau Pkwy, Champlain Pkwy, Glide Wax: , Grip Wax:

[this is a report for Thursday 7 evening]
Very good conditions all around the loop. Even the #32 connector is in decent shape. There is a slight bump in the middle of the skate lane in many places (the "seam" between the 2 grooming passes) which can make balance a little tricky in the dark, but otherwise very pleasant, fast conditions.
A non-technical point: I notice more an more skiers using powerful headlamps. I appreciate the preference to see the trails. But please think of these as high beams on the highway: they blind others. So perhaps dim the intensity, or point them 10m in from of you, not beyond. I personally use a small red lamp to be seen but allows to remain aware of your surroundings.
