Started at P3 as the parking at 411 Corkstown still has the sign that says cars will be towed after 3:30 pm, so I didn't want to risk it. Upper trails were in better shape than I had expected. 2 Green was horrifically stubbly in the new U-shaped segment, but that was the worst spot, once up the hill the trails were in pretty good shape, relatively speaking. The surface is well covered in snow, snow is in good shape, no classic tracks, and very compacted in areas. Lots of pedestrian trampling on the east and north segments of trail 1, and trail 10 has more hiker footprints than ski tracks. Trail 9 had had people snowshoeing on it. I didn't try trail 12 today as the most recent KN website update had said water was still flowing on it. The surface everywhere is uneven as we haven't had enough snow to level out the forest floor undulations yet. It was still quite skiable though, and definitely worthwhile. New skiers and anyone with balance problems would do better to ski at the 401 Corkstown trails though.

Kanata Nordic

Kanata Nordic ski club is a volunteer-run club dedicated to promoting lifelong activity, fitness and enjoyment of the outdoors through a variety of cross-country ski programs and activities offered in a friendly club setting. Established in 1979, Kanata Nordic now calls Wesley Clover Parks home with a growing trail-network for all skiers to enjoy. The club is a member of Cross Country Ontario (CCO) and Cross Country Canada (CCC).

The club grooms and maintains approx. 18km of trails at 401 Corkstown Road.

Trails are groomed 5 times per week by volunteer groomers. Tracksetting occurs after each significant snowfall and just prior to Saturday lessons (usually January through March). Trail conditions will vary depending on snowfall and snow conditions. Access to the club trails requires a membership or day-pass.
