Went to check things out after seeing the report below. No fresh grooming today but conditions are decent: full cover (with some debris in the trees), hard packed in most places but still soft enough to get a decent edge. Quite bumpy - understandably as there isn't the depth for the groomers to do a proper leveling job. There is a very shallow classic track - sometimes 2 - on most of the loop. Any grooming around Mt Mooney has been obliterated by pedestrian and toboggan traffic, but still quite skiable. Not the greatest ski, but a ski nevertheless.
Mooney's Bay offers skiing inside the Ottawa city limits! There are 5.5 km of groomed trails for classic and skate with some portions lit at night. Perfect for after work. Perfect for the entire family. To view course offerings: Ottawa 2021/2022 Recreation Registration Page.

The indoor facility will be open from mid December through early March (weather permitting), at the following times: 9 am to 9 pm Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm Saturday and Sunday.
