Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: #50, #54 (green), #55 (green - shared), #55 (green - alternative), #55 (blue - alternative), #54 (black), Glide Wax: Vauhti green, Grip Wax: Teho green binder with Swix Special Blue

Beautiful albeit chilly day for a ski. Fresh grooming on all the main trails was good but somewhat icy. A good binder helped keep grip wax on the skis but I still had to stop once to reapply wax. Trail 54 black is a little light on snow cover as yet with exposed rocks, roots and creek beds. Easy enough to negotiate going uphill but tougher to dodge going down. The skating tracks on 50 and 55 looked to be in very good shape.
