Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: Gatineau Pkwy , North Loop, Glide Wax: , Grip Wax:

Arrived at 10am, temperature at -8 and the sun was shining. Trails were hard and fast. A lot more skate skiers than classic out on the trails today. Classic tracks from P5 to P8 were deep and in good shape, but they much shallower and icier from P8 to P9 (but still OK). The descent from P5 to P8 was fast - I did most of it in the skate lane so I could snowplow when necessary. The Doldrums were much more relaxing. Lots of people out - it is so nice to get out of the house for some fresh air! Hope to be able to do it a few more times this year.
