Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: Fortune Pkwy, #1, #2 (blue), Glide Wax: , Grip Wax: v40 blue extra with v60 red/silver kicker

Left P10 at 08:40,air temp -3C and a brisk wind. Six cars in lot. FLP was perfect: 5 snowflakes, with classic track immaculate and not at all icy. Grip was perfect on outbound trip and glide was very fast. Trail 1 was 3-4 flakes, not groomed but decent corduroy for skate skiers and rough icy patches in classic tracks. The usual dirty/evergreen debris in tracks on 1 just east of Shilly Shally. Trail 2 was 5 flakes heading down to Western Shelter, but extremely icy just before the cabin. Return trip was fast, but grip not so good in some areas (some grip wax lost on the icy bits perhaps; plus air temp had increased to -1C ). P10 was jammed with a dozen cars parked in the area separating the normal parking spaces
