Missing my ski outings, I tried to find some groomed trails that were worth taking. The trails from Meech had not been groomed and were almost as icy as the road in. I switched to the Penguin climb which was tolerable. I should invest in hairies if I want to ski these conditions. The run down was hard and fast.
To the skier who came over the blind crest at 40 kph in a tuck, I would like you to meet the fat-tire biker who was riding in the middle of the trail. Perhaps you two could have a conversation about trail etiquette and safety.
Gatineau Park is ski paradise! The network of ski trails offer machine groomed skate skiing and classic skiing as well as little groomed backcountry trails. Multiple access points allow skiers to access a variety of terrain and scenery.
