Kind of day that makes you wonder if you're dreaming. Sunshine, warm temperatures, great grooming and fast conditions. If you're "thinking over" going for a ski, get on with it and get out there.
I skied Fortune Parkway and Ridge Road between Fortune Parkway and the top of Penguin-which was as described above. I was pleased to find that a large portion of the Fortune Racing trail had been groomed (skate only) and was in quite good shape. Fortune is a great place to train when it is groomed--check it out when you have the chance...
Gatineau Park is ski paradise! The network of ski trails offer machine groomed skate skiing and classic skiing as well as little groomed backcountry trails. Multiple access points allow skiers to access a variety of terrain and scenery.
The NCC offers season or daily pay rates.
