Conditions were better than I had expected. Grooming was done for skate but not classic. Classic tracks were mostly not good - either filled with debris, wiped out from use, or mangled by skate grooming. I'm guessing the groomer will return later today for a pass with classic grooming. Snow is in pretty good shape despite the warm temps and bit of rain yesterday. It's a bit granular but not really icy, it responded well to the grooming that it has had so far..

Kanata Nordic

Kanata Nordic ski club is a volunteer-run club dedicated to promoting lifelong activity, fitness and enjoyment of the outdoors through a variety of cross-country ski programs and activities offered in a friendly club setting. Established in 1979, Kanata Nordic now calls Wesley Clover Parks home with a growing trail-network for all skiers to enjoy. The club is a member of Cross Country Ontario (CCO) and Cross Country Canada (CCC).

The club grooms and maintains approx. 18km of trails at 401 Corkstown Road.

Trails are groomed 5 times per week by volunteer groomers. Tracksetting occurs after each significant snowfall and just prior to Saturday lessons (usually January through March). Trail conditions will vary depending on snowfall and snow conditions. Access to the club trails requires a membership or day-pass.
