Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: Fortune Pkwy, #1, #3, Glide Wax: , Grip Wax: blue extra v40

It was colder than I expected and had planned for today: -10C rather than the forecast of -2C or so. There was also exposure to an icy easterly wind in exposed areas on the return down FLP. Grooming was underway on trails 1 and 3, but you can always hear the groomers beeping before it's too late! Track conditions weren't perfect, especially as snow was settling into the classic tracks, but the grip was good and also the glide, for the most part (slow on the return down FLP to P10. Trail 1 near Shilly Shally had a fair bit of evergreen twig debris in the classic tracks, but nothing really significant otherwise. Lots of classic and skate skiers out today, but none of parking lots I passed by(P8/9/10) or parked in (P10) were completely full.
