Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: Gatineau Pkwy, #5 (green), #15 (blue), #35, Glide Wax: , Grip Wax: +3 to -3

My first long classic ski of the year so take this or what it is worth.

ROUTE: From P1 up 5, along 15 and then by 35 back to the Gatineau Parkway. Down the GP back to Asticou (P1).

CLASSIC: Solid tracks and very fast conditions. There had been grooming, perhaps not this morning but there was a lot of traffic so the tracks were clean and deep. Downhills were somewhat treacherous as control was limited.

TRAFFIC: Many, many skiers starting from P1 at 10. Lots of traffic on the trails but not too congested.

Gatineau Park is ski paradise! The network of ski trails offer machine groomed skate skiing and classic skiing as well as little groomed backcountry trails. Multiple access points allow skiers to access a variety of terrain and scenery. The NCC offers season or daily pay rates.
