Fabulous grooming on a Monday! And the 4th day of good grooming in a row!
State of the art classic tracks and a perfect skate lane. Fortune, and Ridge out to the Fire Tower were not in "Good to Very Good" condition.
They were in "Outstanding, couldn't-be-better condition". What great skiing! Way to go, Demsis!
On a more mundane note, the waxing was tricky today due to the ice fog. A klister binder didn't work all that well, perhaps a universal klister might have been better? Or Teho green? In any case, the skate conditions were so good that it was possible to simply skate whenever the wax refused to work. It was just a great day to be out! There are three photos.
Gatineau Park is ski paradise! The network of ski trails offer machine groomed skate skiing and classic skiing as well as little groomed backcountry trails. Multiple access points allow skiers to access a variety of terrain and scenery.
