Gatineau Park
Trails Skied: Gatineau Pkwy , Fortune Pkwy, North Loop, Gatineau Pkwy, Champlain Pkwy, Glide Wax: -3 to -10, Grip Wax:
ROUTE: The Parkway Loop - P10 up the Fortune Lake Parkway to the Champlain Parkway. Down the CP to the Gatineau Parkway and down the GP to P8, up the Doldrums then up 32 to P10.
SKATE: Excellent conditions but of different varieties at different points.
P10 to the CP - hard packed grooming that was fast and almost icy
CP to MacKenzie King - pretty much the same - hard corduroy, but decent control
MacKenzie King to the CP and down to P8 - much softer corduroy, fast & excellent control
TRAFFIC: P10 was 2/3 full at 10 and almost at capacity at noon.
Gatineau Park is ski paradise! The network of ski trails offer machine groomed skate skiing and classic skiing as well as little groomed backcountry trails. Multiple access points allow skiers to access a variety of terrain and scenery.
The NCC offers season or daily pay rates.
