Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: Fortune Pkwy, Champlain Pkwy, #1, Glide Wax: CH8, Grip Wax:

After not grooming at all yesterday, Demsis redeemed themselves with a superb grooming effort today. I did a quick skate loop from P10 up the FLP to Ridge, west to the Champlain Lookout, then back down the CP and FLP. With perfect fresh corduroy and temperatures just below freezing, it was a day anyone could feel like a World Cup racer! The Khyber Pass had good snow coverage, but I declined to descend it due to the hordes of skiers ascending mid-morning (P10 was overflowing on my return around 10:30AM). I found the classic tracks a bit slow on the descents compared to the corduroy. The surface will be a bit wetter and softer this afternoon, but conditions should still be exceptional. It really doesn't get any better than this. Enjoy!
