Kanata Nordic

Trails Skied: 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 9, 12a, 12b, 12, Glide Wax: Swix CH7 (not a recommedation...), Grip Wax: Swix VR 65 (universal klister would have been better)

Tour around the campground trails. Looks like yesterday's grooming is holding up well. Classic track is, for the most part, solid. Skate lane looks very good all the way around.

As for waxing - if I was going to be out for longer (or later today), I would have gone to a klister (universal, multigrade, rossa). Or skin skis. Or skating.

It is nice to be skiing without freezing my face off; I'd gladly double pole or have sticky fingers (from klister...) than have a frozen earlobe and perfect kick.

Kanata Nordic

Kanata Nordic ski club is a volunteer-run club dedicated to promoting lifelong activity, fitness and enjoyment of the outdoors through a variety of cross-country ski programs and activities offered in a friendly club setting. Established in 1979, Kanata Nordic now calls Wesley Clover Parks home with a growing trail-network for all skiers to enjoy. The club is a member of Cross Country Ontario (CCO) and Cross Country Canada (CCC).

The club grooms and maintains approx. 18km of trails at 401 Corkstown Road.

Trails are groomed 5 times per week by volunteer groomers. Tracksetting occurs after each significant snowfall and just prior to Saturday lessons (usually January through March). Trail conditions will vary depending on snowfall and snow conditions. Access to the club trails requires a membership or day-pass.
