Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: , Glide Wax: Vauhti Violet., Grip Wax: Vauhti Blue Klister (thin) covered with Vauhti Universal Klister (medium)

If you are heading up to the Park for a ski this evening, here are a couple of things to bear in mind:
1. Ridge Road is o.k for skating, but not particularly good for classic right now as a lot of ice and debris fell during the day and is now freezing solid, making it hard to get grip.
2. The Parkways seem to be in excellent shape for either classic or skating.Grooming must have taken place either last night or during the day today. If you go classic skiing, klister is recommended.

With grooming overnight, I would expect quite good conditions this weekend, although perhaps a bit fast and icy unless we get more snow.

Gatineau Park is ski paradise! The network of ski trails offer machine groomed skate skiing and classic skiing as well as little groomed backcountry trails. Multiple access points allow skiers to access a variety of terrain and scenery. The NCC offers season or daily pay rates.
