Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: Fortune Pkwy, #1, #3, Glide Wax: , Grip Wax: blue extra v40

A perfect day out that was worth the price of a season pass.
Air temp was -7C at the start and -5C on return to P10 (busy as usual). Snow conditions were interesting - perfect classic track conditions on trail 3, but variable on Ridge Road (trail 1) and on the return down the FLP, with a bit of glazing on the track, which was also intermittently icy . Hordes of skate skiers were out on trail 3, from junior high school by the look of it. Even so, most of the trip along 3 was tranquil and the scenery was gorgeous. Quite a bit of evidence of back-country trail use off 3, as well as pond skiing tracks.
