Trails Skied: 1, 2, 3, 6, 8, 12a, 12b, 12, Glide Wax: Swix CH6, Grip Wax:

Took a tour around the campground trails. Groomer was out making passes on the main loop and every pass was improving the skate lane. Classic tracks were being scrubbed out - I think that the groomer will be able to set a reasonable track once the hard snow is broken up.

Trail 12 has not seen this action yet, so it's a bit more... ummm... thrilling. The hard pack is hard, for sure. There are some icy patches (intersection of 1 & 8, bottom of the climb on 12).

Here's hoping that the light flurries in the long range forecast turn out to be something more!!

Kanata Nordic

Kanata Nordic ski club is a volunteer-run club dedicated to promoting lifelong activity, fitness and enjoyment of the outdoors through a variety of cross-country ski programs and activities offered in a friendly club setting. Established in 1979, Kanata Nordic now calls Wesley Clover Parks home with a growing trail-network for all skiers to enjoy. The club is a member of Cross Country Ontario (CCO) and Cross Country Canada (CCC).

The club grooms and maintains approx. 18km of trails at 401 Corkstown Road.

Trails are groomed 5 times per week by volunteer groomers. Tracksetting occurs after each significant snowfall and just prior to Saturday lessons (usually January through March). Trail conditions will vary depending on snowfall and snow conditions. Access to the club trails requires a membership or day-pass.
