Gatineau Park
Trails Skied: #50, Glide Wax: universal, Grip Wax: green
Very fast conditions for classic on the 50 from P19 to the junction with the 52. Tracks were mostly mid depth with a hardened base with a layer of soft snow. Some sections were very thin with ice chunks and coarse icey snow particularly along the edges of both Lac Philippe and Mousseau. A binder is recommended, I had to reapply my green wax for the ride back.
Gatineau Park is ski paradise! The network of ski trails offer machine groomed skate skiing and classic skiing as well as little groomed backcountry trails. Multiple access points allow skiers to access a variety of terrain and scenery.
