Kanata Nordic

Trails Skied: 101 North, 103, 104, 106, 107, TCT, Glide Wax: , Grip Wax:

Conditions were very icy for classic skiing at the equestrian park trails. The groomer was working this afternoon, and conditions were hugely improved for skate skiing, but I don't think the classic tracks can have much done without fresh snow. They are so-so in places, but somewhat deadly in others. The skate track has enough snow loosened that grip seemed pretty good in most places there. There are large icy patches on 107, 101 and 106. The best parts were the TCT, and the extension north on the greenbelt trail towards Carling.

Kanata Nordic

Kanata Nordic ski club is a volunteer-run club dedicated to promoting lifelong activity, fitness and enjoyment of the outdoors through a variety of cross-country ski programs and activities offered in a friendly club setting. Established in 1979, Kanata Nordic now calls Wesley Clover Parks home with a growing trail-network for all skiers to enjoy. The club is a member of Cross Country Ontario (CCO) and Cross Country Canada (CCC).

The club grooms and maintains approx. 18km of trails at 401 Corkstown Road.

Trails are groomed 5 times per week by volunteer groomers. Tracksetting occurs after each significant snowfall and just prior to Saturday lessons (usually January through March). Trail conditions will vary depending on snowfall and snow conditions. Access to the club trails requires a membership or day-pass.
