Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: North Loop, Glide Wax: , Grip Wax:

A last minute ski, just as the sun went down. And a soggy one it was! If I had gone this morning this would be quite a different report. It snowed most of the day, heavy, wet snow, so any earlier grooming was replaced with thick, mashed potatoes. The skate lane looked slow, slick, sticky and unappetizing. However, the tracks, although worn and bumpy, were quite fast, and my skin skis came into their own! One pass was all I had time for, but perhaps it was just as well. It was rain, not snow, that was falling as I finished.
