Kanata Nordic

Trails Skied: 1, 2, 2, 6, 8, 9, 12a, 12b, 12, 100, 101 North, 102, 103, 104, 106, 107, TCT, Glide Wax: Swix CH4, Grip Wax: Swix Blue V30

An "all trails" kind of day. Best conditions of the season, for sure. Lots of skier traffic is helping to compact the fluffy snow. Most of the trail network has a classic track; kick is easy to find.

Of note - thumbs up on the slight re-route on trail 12 (removing the off camber section, lengthening out climb). Only a few places are showing the ice (in the field trails, 101N & 106). 107 has been compacted - no rocks showing. The sprint circuit for next weekend (100) is all set up (groomed and marked)

Kanata Nordic

Kanata Nordic ski club is a volunteer-run club dedicated to promoting lifelong activity, fitness and enjoyment of the outdoors through a variety of cross-country ski programs and activities offered in a friendly club setting. Established in 1979, Kanata Nordic now calls Wesley Clover Parks home with a growing trail-network for all skiers to enjoy. The club is a member of Cross Country Ontario (CCO) and Cross Country Canada (CCC).

The club grooms and maintains approx. 18km of trails at 401 Corkstown Road.

Trails are groomed 5 times per week by volunteer groomers. Tracksetting occurs after each significant snowfall and just prior to Saturday lessons (usually January through March). Trail conditions will vary depending on snowfall and snow conditions. Access to the club trails requires a membership or day-pass.
