Kanata Nordic

Trails Skied: 1, 2, 8, 12, Glide Wax: , Grip Wax: Blue

Finally some snow on the trails! Started out at the parking lot, trail 2 -> -> 12 -> 8 -> 1. The groomer was not out yet so no corduroy or classic tracks set but set by earlier skiers. All the ice on the back trails (12) is covered up now but still some cracks easily skied over. The temperature was great. Used blue wax but snow was sticking a bit to the bottom ski grip area. Let's keep this snow rolling Mother Nature :-)

Kanata Nordic

Kanata Nordic ski club is a volunteer-run club dedicated to promoting lifelong activity, fitness and enjoyment of the outdoors through a variety of cross-country ski programs and activities offered in a friendly club setting. Established in 1979, Kanata Nordic now calls Wesley Clover Parks home with a growing trail-network for all skiers to enjoy. The club is a member of Cross Country Ontario (CCO) and Cross Country Canada (CCC).

The club grooms and maintains approx. 18km of trails at 401 Corkstown Road.

Trails are groomed 5 times per week by volunteer groomers. Tracksetting occurs after each significant snowfall and just prior to Saturday lessons (usually January through March). Trail conditions will vary depending on snowfall and snow conditions. Access to the club trails requires a membership or day-pass.
