Trails Skied: Fortune Pkwy, North Loop, #1 Penguin Climb, Glide Wax: yellow, Grip Wax:
I can finally use my good skis today. No rocks from P9 to P10. Looks like #36 and Burma #3 only has skier groomed tracks. Ridge #1 between gossip corner and Watsford has many concave sections slowing my skate skis. Looking forward to have them flatten out with more snow. Picnic benches around Penguin have about 6” of snow. It was a glorious winter wonderland day with all the tree branches coated with sticky snow.
Gatineau Park is ski paradise! The network of ski trails offer machine groomed skate skiing and classic skiing as well as little groomed backcountry trails. Multiple access points allow skiers to access a variety of terrain and scenery.
