Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: #50, #55 (green - shared), #55 (green - alternative), Glide Wax: , Grip Wax: multiple efforts

Skied the Taylor Lake loop on 55. The groomed trails were excellent: nice to see all the people out overnight in the tents and yurts. The backcountry part of Trail 55 was full of snow and scenic, but waxing was a big problem in the soft stuff. I tried three different waxes and still our skis clumped up frequently. We could only travel several hundred metres before having to scrape the snow off the grip area. A fellow skier coming in from the Lusk cabin said that he had had the same experience until they hit the groomed sections.
