Nice, hard pack, not too abrasive, wax choice is easy. Champlain parkway was freshly groomed, had not seen a lot of traffic.
But LOTS of leaves and debris in the classic tracks from all the wind yesterday. What is worse: classic rollerskiing on wet leaves, or classic winter skiing on dry leaves... go right ahead and find out!
Gatineau Park is ski paradise! The network of ski trails offer machine groomed skate skiing and classic skiing as well as little groomed backcountry trails. Multiple access points allow skiers to access a variety of terrain and scenery.
