Great skiing today on fresh grooming with classic tracks set. The Nakkertrak has a deep base of packed and tilled snow. With the forecasted freezing rain turning to rain on Friday morning there is no grooming planned for tomorrow. Snowmaking will restart Friday late afternoon and grooming is scheduled for Saturday morning. To facilitate snowmaking, the Plateau and Upper Play Park may be closed at times. Check https://twitter.com/NakkXC for updates and our conditions page.

Please enter the Nakkertrak through the tunnel at the east end of the stadium, to limit the mud tracked on to the snow. Non-members need to pay Day-Use fees, at the cash box or online. The Nakkertrak is available for Open public use on weekend afternoons with family and open times. See http://nakkertok.ca/early-ski-loop/ for more details.

About Skiing at Nakkertok..

Nakkertok has a network of about 75km of skating, classical and backcountry trails at two locations just north of Ottawa in the Gatineau Hills.

General Info: Driving Directions | Trail Maps | Trail Conditions | Grooming Activity Report.

Nakkertok South is the main attraction offering groomed skating and classic skiing, chalets, races and children's programming. There are lit trails for night skiing. Club membership, or a day-use fee required for skiing.

Nakkertok North trails are quite demanding, and only occasionally groomed (Fridays). They offer a refreshing backcountry wilderness experience for those with good skiing skills. The trails at Nakkertok North are almost always quiet. The annual Nakkerloppet event in February is a great opportunity to discover these trails by making the North to South crossing.
