Skate skied the loop including Champlain l.o.. No bare patch of any significance although the asphalt does appear through some small holes. Skate track is hard packed and a bit bumpy in places which can make for tricky balance, but overall very good skiing conditions, particularly on Champlain parkway. Still recommend rock skis until we get more snow, as it is precariously thin in places and you could break through. Nice to see so many people out.
