Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: #1 Penguin Climb, Glide Wax: red, Grip Wax:

A skate ski from p5 to Penguin, up Watsford to FPW. It was ungroomed and snowing with 15+cm of slow going fluffy snow. There were only a classic track and two foot tracks before me. Then halfway to FPW I encountered two snowmobiles pulling grooming matts. Boy did the rocks showed up much clearer on the newly sort of groomed trail. It was a winter wonderland with snow-laden branches. Now I have one more deep gouge on my mismatched rock skis.
