Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: #50, Glide Wax: Rilled rock skis and ripe banana peels, Grip Wax:

I thoroughly enjoyed! Sure, it's not perfect mid season skiing, but many bonuses: the sound of water running, 17c, sunshine!
I went up the 40 and water from central compression (snowmobile?) caused water to run on the trail center. So, 50m of walking --and the only time i had to do that. Even the usual spots that get sun and need walking this late in the game were fine. Of course, this will change drastically over the next few days. I do recommend the 2 instead (came back on).
But it's all about getting up to Ridge Rd. From there, the coverage is great! Sure, it's dirty, and will improve when snow kernels get larger (dirt will fall under). But what a great happy ski out to MacKinstry!
Just a few skiers (w big smiles) and very few hiker tracks (which is why it was still good).
All in all, i only had my skis off 1.5 times. Sure, a couple 10ft sections walking over leaves, some crevasse negotiating, bear maulings (ok, no. I'm not tasty).
