Gatineau Park
Trails Skied: #1, #2 (from #40 to #1), #24, #40, Glide Wax: , Grip Wax: Waxless
A few portages up trail #40 (including a relatively long and muddy one) but, once at the #38 junction, it is clear sailing to trail #1 and beyond heading towards the Fire tower. Trail #24 is fine. Trail #2 has many portages. The snow provided a good glide for classic skiing even in the afternoon when it was warmer. The base on trail #1 at the top the ridge is about 45 cm thick. A beautiful sunny day to be out skiing.
Gatineau Park is ski paradise! The network of ski trails offer machine groomed skate skiing and classic skiing as well as little groomed backcountry trails. Multiple access points allow skiers to access a variety of terrain and scenery.
The NCC offers season or daily pay rates.
