Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: #2 (blue), #2 (from #40 to #1), #24, #1 (blue), Glide Wax: , Grip Wax:

Skate ski from P12 to Fire Tower. Out up 40, back up 24 and down 2 to avoid the portages. See yesterday’s report for P12 to Wolf.
Beautiful skiing from Wolf to FT, except the last km which is covered with pine needles and twigs. 100% coverage with a few “stream crevasses” that can be skied over at speed. Luckily the sun stayed hidden and the snow remained pleasantly fast, yet controllable, which made for great downhills. An amazing ski given the date! There’s enough snow to make it to next week end, but there will be portages to get to the good stretches.
