Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: #9, #11, Glide Wax: , Grip Wax: Waxless

Today we did the full length of #9 East to West(ern). There was generally very good snow coverage with only occasional water to be avoided. The snow was quite soft and that made the downhills controllable, though a little tricky in places. My companion had backcountry skis which were a good idea as the narrower skis sometimes submarined below the crust. We came back eastbound on a small section of the northern part of #11 which was much the same, only be careful going westbound down the hill to the pond near Shilly Shally as you have to divert before the bottom! On days above freezing these trails will be quite skiable for a while.
