Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: Gatineau Pkwy, #5 (green), #27, #26, Glide Wax: , Grip Wax:

Just a beautiful morning of skating. Fresh grooming and almost first tracks at Le Relais shortly after nine o'clock. We skated out to Mine Rd with a few cruising detours, and then back to meet our friends at 10 o'clock on the connector to the parkway, up Pink's to Mica, back down to the 5 and back to the Relais. By the time we got to the 5 things were getting soft (then again, it was such a gorgeous day that we were stopping a lot to chat in the sun). But the earlier part of the morning was fast and beautiful, the kind of spring skiing we dream about. Lots of happy people having coffee at Le Relais at noon.
