Trails Skied: 1, 2, 6, 8, 9, Glide Wax: Swix CH8, Grip Wax: would have used a warm red klister

Grabbed a mid afternoon opportunity to go for a ski, just before the light snow started. Conditions were still good for skate on the campground trails. The classic track is starting to be scrubbed out in a few places, and was a little icy in a few places - before the new snow klister would have been the call, but with the fresh snow, a soft hardwax or waxless would be good.

Here's hoping for a little bit of colder weather after the warmup; a few more bonus days would be awesome!

Kanata Nordic

Kanata Nordic ski club is a volunteer-run club dedicated to promoting lifelong activity, fitness and enjoyment of the outdoors through a variety of cross-country ski programs and activities offered in a friendly club setting. Established in 1979, Kanata Nordic now calls Wesley Clover Parks home with a growing trail-network for all skiers to enjoy. The club is a member of Cross Country Ontario (CCO) and Cross Country Canada (CCC).

The club grooms and maintains approx. 18km of trails at 401 Corkstown Road.

Trails are groomed 5 times per week by volunteer groomers. Tracksetting occurs after each significant snowfall and just prior to Saturday lessons (usually January through March). Trail conditions will vary depending on snowfall and snow conditions. Access to the club trails requires a membership or day-pass.
