Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: Champlain Pkwy, MacKenzie-King Rd , Glide Wax: Swix Purple, Grip Wax:

A most beautiful day to be skiing! I was in the P6 area both morning and afternoon, and experienced a very chilly start followed by the arrival of spring!

The Champlain parkway was marked groomed this morning, however it's strange that there was no grooming west of the P6 connector. We focused our skiing on the connector and eastern direction and had very enjoyable conditions.

The reports no longer seem accurate and the grooming seems to be piecemeal compared to the excellent conditions we enjoyed until a few weeks ago. The weekly grooming reports seem to be apologizing in advance rather than hopefully planning for good conditions.

In any case, it was a beautiful day to be out, and Saturday should be glorious! Get out skiing if you can!
