Green Belt

Trails Skied: 44, 45, 46, Glide Wax: , Grip Wax: -3 to -10

CLASSIC

44 (from P18 - Davidson): There is one skied-in track for most of the 44 loop. Because it is a multi-use trail there are boot and snow shoe tracks all over the place in many places obliterating the ski track. There is so much snow that poling is difficult almost everywhere. There is also a fair bit of debris but it doesn't really affect the forward progress.

45 (usually from P19 Leitrim): Better than 44 but not much better. There are two skied-in tracks almost everywhere with a much smaller amount of boot and snowshoe damage. The snow is so deep though that poling is difficult at best and really irritating at worst. Having said that, if you don't mind leisurely progress it really is beautiful.

43: A number of skiers were heading across Davidson to the Pine Grove Trail (43). Perhaps it is less trafficked by hikers on that side.

TRAFFIC: There were two other cars in P18 at 9 and about 12 at 10:30.
