Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: #1 Penguin Climb, #6, Glide Wax: , Grip Wax:

The Penguin climb was well-groomed and soft. I ventured on #6 when I saw two other intrepid skiers breaking trail. They let me go ahead at the first big downhill and it was a slog after that, pushing through 1-2 feet of new snow. Halfway around someone had taken the flat half of 6 to 34 so there was an established track through the hemlocks. Thank you, thank you. I was almost out of energy by then.

Lovely snow: may it last.
