Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: Fortune Pkwy, #1, #1B, #9, Glide Wax: , Grip Wax: blue extra vr40

An excelent trip today! Air temp -12C at start and -9C at finish. Just a handful of cars at P10 when I left at 09:45 but overloaded on return at 12:45 (see pic). Grooming was excellent, and conditions were extremely fast, for both classic and skate skiers. Grip wax worked beautifully on the outbound part of the trip to Western Shelter but I did slip a fair bit on the climbs on the return. The runs down Khyber (trail 1) and down the FLP were the fastest I have experienced this season, but control was not a problem. The FLP was like a skier conveyor belt as I was heading back. Great to see so many people enjoying the perfect conditions.
