I looked at Gary's report just as I was about to leave, and switched to hairy classic skis. When I arrived at P8 huge gusts of wind were blowing snow all over the place, covering the classic tracks and making for a slow painful ski. The blowed in snow made for a lumpy slow skate as well,it seemed. At least it wasn't cold and the sun came out a few times. We have been spoiled by great groomed conditions.
Gatineau Park is ski paradise! The network of ski trails offer machine groomed skate skiing and classic skiing as well as little groomed backcountry trails. Multiple access points allow skiers to access a variety of terrain and scenery.
The NCC offers season or daily pay rates.
