Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: Fortune Pkwy, Champlain Pkwy, #1, #1 (green) (#2 - #24), Glide Wax: , Grip Wax:

ROUTE: P10 up Fortune Lake Parkway then along the Champlain Parkway to #1 and out to 24. And back with a quick jaunt along #1 to Etienne Brule.

SKATE: Great conditions - fairly fast with some loose snow to allow for control. I expected softer conditions but, overall, grooming had left a firm surface. The exception was after #24 on #1 where there had only been some very basic grooming that meant there was a a lot of snow that made it a slog going uphill and fairly slow going down. Having said that, a fair number of people were still making their way out to McKinstry.

TRAFFIC: P10 was less than half full at 10:30 and was filling up (at least 3/4 full) at 12:15.
